St. Mary's Art Center Hosts Second Annual Summer Artisan Faire in Virginia City

Virginia City, Nev. — St. Mary's Art Center is pleased to announce the return of its Summer Artisan Faire for a second year, taking place Saturday, June 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free, family-friendly event will be held at St. Mary's Art Center, the historic 1876 property that has served as a hub for art, history, and community in Virginia City since 1964. The curated Faire brings together regional artists and makers to showcase and sell their original work inside one of Northern Nevada's most distinctive historical buildings. Attendees can expect three floors full of music and thoughtfully selected fine art, handmade goods, and one-of-a-kind creations, all set against the backdrop of a beloved Comstock landmark. The event will also include an eclectic silent auction. 

 "The Summer Artisan Faire is a celebration of the creativity that lives throughout our region, and a chance for visitors to connect directly with the people behind the work," said Executive Director A. Perry. "It's also a meaningful way to support St. Mary's Art Center's mission of preserving this historic property and sustaining our programming for years to come." 

Additionally, Artists & Makers Applications are now open for artisans who would like to participate in the Faire. Applications will be accepted through Friday, May 29 at 5 p.m. Participating artists receive a 60"x30" table, two chairs, and a light lunch on both days. Artists traveling to participate are also invited to take advantage of discounted guest room rates at the Art Center and receive an additional $5 per-table discount at the Faire.
