SCSO Arrests Suspect on Federal Warrant for Human Smuggling

STOREY COUNTY, NV - On June 18, 2025 Storey County Sheriff's Office detectives identified a male suspect in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center who had an active, fully extraditable federal warrant out of Texas for probation violation and human smuggling.

Detectives located the suspect, identified as Jacob Perez (age 38 of Mission, Texas) at one of the businesses. Upon Perez leaving the business, he was taken into custody without issue. Perez was transported to the Storey County Detention Facility on the above mentioned warrant, with a no bail hold, where he will await extradition.
