Cadence, cheers, and the crack of gunfire echoed through historic Virginia City on Nov. 11 as the annual Veterans Day Parade brought C Street to life. Hundreds of proud spectators lined the boardwalks, waving flags and cheering for the brave men and women who have served our nation. Overhead, Battle Born Medevac soared past in a ceremonial flyover while Carson Chandler’s powerful voice carried “The Star-Spangled Banner” across the hills, accompanied by the VFW Post 8071 Color Guard standing tall in salute.

Colorful floats, classic cars, and hundreds of spirited paraders filled the streets—tossing candy, shaking hands, and sharing smiles as patriotic tunes rang out. The strong showing of Northern Nevada JROTC units added to the pride of the day, each group marching with discipline and heart in honor of America’s heroes.

Under clear skies and shining sun, Mother Nature herself seemed to salute our veterans. To all who have served—thank you for your courage, your sacrifice, and your unwavering love of country.
