Virginia City, Nev. — St. Mary's Art Center, in partnership with Women Investigating Ghost Sightings, will host its Paranormal Painting Pajama Party Friday, March 27 through Sunday, March 29, 2026, inside its historic 1876 former hospital in Virginia City. For more information about the event, visit HERE.
This immersive overnight event invites guests to experience the building’s rumored paranormal activity, tour the historic building and create original artwork inspired by their experiences. Attendees may book one or both nights, with check-in beginning at 3 p.m.
“Our Paranormal Painting Pajama Party blends creativity with curiosity and is a true celebration of our building’s history paired with our facilities’ artistry,” said A. Perry, executive director of St. Mary’s Art Center. “Guests can investigate at their own pace and turn their experience into something tangible and truly unique. While every guest will go home with a one-of-a-kind piece of art created from their stay, we’re also offering a free night’s stay for our 2027 event to the winner of our event contest.”
Participants are free to explore the four-story landmark and create artwork based on their favorite spaces or any spirits they may encounter. Finished pieces may be entered for a chance to win a complimentary stay at one of the 2027 Paranormal Painting Pajama Party.
All art and paranormal investigation materials are provided. Guests are encouraged to bring pajamas, stay up late and keep an open mind. For guests looking to extend their stay, they can book one of the many historic rooms on the property.
