Comstock Metals and the Silver Springs Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed community partners and county officials to the Comstock Metals facility on Friday, Oct. 16, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the company’s solar panel recycling operations in Silver Springs.

The facility represents a significant step forward in responsible end-of-life solar panel management, using proprietary processing technologies to recover 100% of solar panel materials while maintaining a zero-landfill approach. Comstock Metals is North America’s first certified end-of-life operation and recently transitioned its production system to continuous, 24-hour-a-day, seven-days-a-week, positioning the Silver Springs facility to meet growing demand.

Comstock Inc. CEO Corrado De Gasperis outlined the history and science behind the company’s Metals business model, highlighting the team’s commitment to advancing recycling technologies and strengthening domestic supply chains for recovered materials.
