2025 Silver Springs Founders Day
On Saturday, Oct. 11, Central Lyon County came together to celebrate the annual Founders Day Parade & Event at Penny Park in Silver Springs. This year's theme of "Crossroads" honors the town's past, present, and future, reminding everyone just how far we have come.
The parade kicked off with a ceremonial proclamation handoff from the Pony Express to a Tesla Cybertruck — a perfectly Nevada blend of history and high-tech that drew cheers from the crowd. From there, the fun rolled right into Penny Park, where the celebration was in full swing with a Block Party Car Show, lively vendor fair, line dancing, kids' zone, pumpkin decorating, and food trucks. To top it all off, SkyFiber kept everyone connected by providing free event Wi-Fi.
