Virginia City Pool opens July 1, ahead of the holiday weekend
The Virginia City Pool will open for the season on Tuesday, July 1, just ahead of the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
The pool, located at 106 Carson St. in Virginia City, will be open daily. Adult swim for those 18 and older is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by general swim from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting.
Admission is $5 per person, including non-swimmers entering the pool area. Children 11 and younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
In a social media post announcing the opening, Storey County thanked its Public Works Department for preparing the facility for the season.
"A huge thank you to our Public Works crew for making this season possible," the county wrote.
