UPDATE: Missing Vulnerable Adult Located Safely

Silver Springs, NV – The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is pleased to report that Tex Jackson has been located safely.
At approximately 2:45 a.m., members of Lyon County Search and Rescue located Mr. Jackson during search operations in the Silver Springs area. Mr. Jackson sustained minor injuries from a fall but was otherwise in good condition. As a precaution, he was transported to Carson Tahoe Hospital for evaluation.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office would like to thank Lyon County Search and Rescue, the many community members who volunteered their time to assist with search efforts, and everyone who shared information and remained vigilant throughout the incident. The overwhelming support shown by the Silver Springs community was greatly appreciated and contributed to the successful outcome of this search.
We are grateful for the quick response and coordinated efforts of everyone involved and are pleased that Mr. Jackson was located safely.

Lyon County Sheriff's Office Requests Public Assistance in Locating Missing Vulnerable Adult
Silver Springs, NV — The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in locating a missing vulnerable adult, 78-year-old Silver Springs resident Tex Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was last seen between approximately 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. today near his residence in the 1500 block of 7th Street in Silver Springs.
Mr. Jackson is described as:
- 78 years old
- Approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall
- Gray hair
- Blue eyes
He was last seen wearing:
- Blue jeans
- Plaid shirt
- Tan cowboy hat
Mr. Jackson suffers from dementia, and family members report his condition has recently worsened. Due to his medical condition, there is significant concern for his safety and well-being.
Deputies and Search and Rescue personnel are actively attempting to locate Mr. Jackson. Anyone who has seen him or has information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Lyon County Sheriff's Office immediately at (775) 463-6620. If you believe you have located Mr. Jackson, please call law enforcement and
do not attempt to transport him yourself.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office appreciates the public's assistance and asks residents throughout the Silver Springs area to check their properties, outbuildings, and surveillance cameras for any sign of Mr. Jackson.
