TRIC Embezzlement Suspect Captured

STOREY COUNTY, NV - In March of 2026, the Storey County Sheriff's Office received a report from a business in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center for possible embezzlement. Upon investigation over the subsequent weeks, it was determined the suspect, Tracy Hansen (age 37 of Fallon, NV), had embezzled approximately $200,000.00 from the company.

On June 1, 2026, a felony arrest warrant for two counts of Theft, Value $100,000.00 or more was issued for Hansen. The Churchill County Sheriff's Office was contacted and advised of Hansen's warrant. At approximately 1900 hours, the Storey County Sheriff's Office was notified Hansen was taken into custody pursuant to the warrant and booked into the Churchill County Detention Facility without incident.

June 2, 2026, Hansen was transferred to the Storey County Detention Facility and booked pursuant to the warrant, which has an $80,000.00 bond. We would like to thank the Churchill County Sheriff's Office for their assistance.
