The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to share exciting news. Thanks to a generous grant from Travel Nevada as part of the Special Projects initiative, The Chamber has been awarded $50,000 towards helping to improve accessibility at one of Dayton’s most beloved landmarks, The Odeon, located in Dayton’s historic downtown district.

This grant will allow for the installation of a chair lift, making the second floor of the Odeon accessible to all. The Odeon has long served as a cultural and social cornerstone for Dayton. Improving accessibility while maintaining the building’s historic integrity has been a balancing act over the years. As a devoted public resource, The Odeon has been a pivotal venue for hosting numerous events for local nonprofit groups like: The Misfits, The Historical Society of Dayton Valley, The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Crafters and The Dayton High School Booster Club. By honoring the past while preparing for the future, this project ensures that the Odeon remains a welcoming and inclusive venue for all to fully enjoy the events, programs, and gatherings held within this iconic space for generations to come.

This partnership between Travel Nevada and the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce represents more than a single improvement project. It opens the door to future opportunities that enhance local infrastructure and businesses, support continued historic preservation, strengthen community relationships, all while sustaining the small-town charm that makes Dayton unique.

The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce is deeply honored to partner with Travel Nevada Special Projects initiative, whose continued investment in rural communities helps preserve historic spaces while adapting them to meet modern needs. We extend our sincere gratitude to Travel Nevada for supporting this initiative. This project reflects a collaborative spirit and highlights what can be achieved when organizations come together with a shared vision for progress. Together, we are building momentum and preserving the unique charm that makes Dayton so special. We look forward to seeing this project complete and the bright future ahead for the Dayton community.
