The Virginia Truckee Railroad Presents The Masquerade Murder Mystery Train
FOR RELEASE
The Virginia & Truckee Railroad invites you to a unique experience: the Masquerade Murder Mystery Train, presented by the Funtime Players. This special event takes place on Saturday, November 8, with performances at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Under the enchanting glow of the full moon, guests will be swept into an old-fashioned murder mystery filled with intrigue, deception, and deadly secrets.
The Masquerade Experience
Set against the flickering lantern light within historic Pullman cars, the evening begins with a masquerade ball murder mystery. Behind every mask lurks a secret, and every smile hides suspicion. As the train travels through the moonlit Comstock's Flowery mountains, passengers become part of the unfolding story—observing, questioning, and piecing together clues from the suspects. In this immersive adventure, anyone could be the culprit, and you become the detective charged with solving the crime before the final whistle blows.
Honoring Hollywood’s Masters of Horror
The event also pays tribute to two legends of classic horror cinema: Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff. Their iconic performances as Dracula and Frankenstein’s Monster helped define the golden era of gothic film, adding an extra layer of atmosphere and suspense to the evening. Event Details
