Storey County School District Board Schedules Special Meeting to Discuss Superintendent Search

The Storey County School District Board of Trustees has called a Special Meeting for Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. to begin the process of selecting a new Superintendent.
The Board will discuss all aspects of hiring a superintendent including: characteristics desired in a new superintendent, timeline, professional consultant assistance, and all other matters related to the superintendent search process.
The meeting will take place at the Virginia City High School Training Room, located at 95 South R Street in Virginia City. Community members are welcome to attend, and the Board is expected to outline the criteria and timeline for securing a search firm.
