Storey County Conducts Logic and Accuracy Testing Ahead of General Election
Storey County is continuing preparations for the Nov. 3, 2026 General Election with required Logic and Accuracy Testing (LAT) of election equipment today, Oct. 14, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Logic and Accuracy Testing is a required step in the election process to verify that voting equipment is functioning properly and accurately records votes before being used during the election.
The testing process is one of several safeguards used to help ensure election equipment is prepared before voters cast their ballots.
Members of the public may observe election preparation activities as part of Storey County’s commitment to transparency and public confidence in the election process. Residents interested in future observation opportunities may contact the Storey County Clerk’s Office for additional information.
“Today’s testing is an important part of preparing for Election Day,” said Jim Hindle, Storey County Clerk & Treasurer. “These procedures allow election officials to verify equipment accuracy before voting begins and provide the public with an opportunity to better understand the work that takes place behind the scenes.”
