Storey County Answers Frequently Asked Election Questions Ahead of General Election

 As the Nov. 3, 2026 General Election approaches, Storey County is providing answers to frequently asked voter questions about registration, identification requirements, mail ballots and checking voter information.

Do I need identification to vote?

Some voters may be required to provide identification, most specifically those who are voting in Nevada for the first time or whose registration information requires additional verification. Voters with questions about identification requirements are encouraged to contact the Storey County Clerk’s Office before Election Day.

Can I still register to vote?

Voter registration deadlines are approaching. Residents may register through available methods, including online registration, by mail or in person through the Storey County Clerk’s Office.

Nevada offers same-day registration in-person during Early Voting and Election Day. Registered Voters may update their voter registration online at VOTE.NV.gov during Early Voting and on Election Day.

Can I drop off my mail ballot?

Yes. Voters may return their mail ballot by dropping it off at the Storey County Clerk’s Office or at any designated County polling location.

How do I verify my voter registration information?

Voters can verify their registration status, address, party affiliation and contact information by:
