Sheriff’s Night Out Returning to Lockwood and Virginia City

Storey County residents are invited to connect with local law enforcement and their neighbors during the return of Sheriff’s Night Out events in Lockwood and Virginia City.

The Storey County Sheriff’s Office will host the free community events, which will include a barbecue dinner, information about local resources and an opportunity to meet Sheriff’s Office deputies.

The Lockwood event is scheduled for Aug. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Louise Peri Park, 800 Peri Ranch Road.

The Virginia City event will be held Sept. 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Miner’s Park, 106 Carson St.

Residents are encouraged to attend, meet local deputies and spend an evening connecting with members of the community.
