Industrial Incident in TRI Center

STOREY COUNTY, NV - On June 9, 2026, at approximately 0709 hours, Storey County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a report of an industrial incident located at a business on Peru Drive in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center.

Dispatch advised a subject had been struck and crushed by an excavator bucket. Upon arrival, deputies and the Storey County Fire Department began to provide care. Unfortunately despite life saving measures, the victim, Trino Saucedo Lechuga (age 64 of Sun Valley, NV), was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Storey County Sheriff's Office and the Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration conducted investigations, which are still ongoing at this time.

Next of kin notifications have been made. The Storey County Sheriff's Office extends our condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers of Mr. Saucedo Lechuga during this difficult time.
