SCSO Lockwood Arrests

STOREY COUNTY, NV - On Jan. 14, 2026, at approximately 4:44 a.m., Storey County Sheriff’s Office detectives were preparing to execute a search warrant on a residence in Lockwood, Nevada. The occupants have been previously arrested on multiple occasions for possession of controlled substances, sales of controlled substances, and felon in possession of firearms, among other charges. One of the occupants was on conditions of release and was required to wear an ankle monitor. It was observed the residence had multiple security cameras, from which they could observe anyone approaching.

While preparing to execute the search warrant, deputies saw one of the occupants, April Garrison (age 55 of Lockwood), driving in her vehicle. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, where Garrison (allegedly) failed to yield to an emergency vehicle, (allegedly) drove to the residence, and (allegedly) attempted to flee inside. Luckily, deputies were (not allegedly) faster (track stars perhaps?), and were able to detain her.

During the execution of the search warrant, it was discovered Garrison had (allegedly) removed her ankle monitor without authorization. This was mistake number one. Controlled substances and items for the sales of controlled substances were (allegedly) discovered. This was mistake number two. It seems having the ability to see detectives and deputies coming, wasn’t enough to keep them out of jail…again.

Upon completion of the search warrant, Garrison and another occupant, Raymond Gamboa (age 63 of Lockwood), were taken into custody on the following charges:

-NRS 453.316.1 - Open or maintain place for sale of controlled substances
-NRS 178.4851.6 - Arrest for violation of a condition of OR release
-NRS 453.337.2a - Possess to sell schedule I/II, fIntrzpm/GHB
-NRS 199.280.3 - Resist public officer
-NRS 484B.267 - Fail to yield to emergency vehicle
-NRS 453.566 - Use or possess drug paraphernalia
-NRS 453.336.2A - Possess Schedule I or II controlled substance, less than 14g

Gamboa:
-NRS 453.316.1 - Open or maintain place for sale of controlled substances
-NRS 453.337.2a - Possess to sell schedule I/II, fIntrzpm/GHB
-NRS 453.566 - Use or possess drug paraphernalia
-NRS 453.336.2A - Possess Schedule I or II controlled substance, less than 14g

All subjects are innocent until proven guilty (again).
