Notes from the Cabin in the Sky, 9-12-2025

How does that old Latin saying go? Something about seizing the carp. Carpe Diem, that's it! Seize the day! Or in Steph Norby's case, seize the camel. Carpe Camelum, as it were. Not content to stand on the sidelines, our very own assistant editor and talented journalist decided to race a camel last weekend. The resulting photo simply had to be included in this week's paper. We are in negotiations to change Steph's job title to "Camel Jockey," and suddenly my life-long goal of delivering newspapers to the Comstock by dromedary is one step closer to fruition.

This week, embrace something new in life. Reach out and grab a challenge right by the hump, and then hang on. The sun rises over the Cabin in the Sky today with purpose, and our steeds await.
