Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Responds to Incident at Silver Stage Middle School

February 2, 2026

Silver Springs, NV — On Feb. 2, 2026, at approximately 2:10 p.m., the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to Silver Stage Middle School in Silver Springs following multiple 911 calls reporting a confrontation between parents and school staff related to a student-led walkout that occurred at the conclusion of the school day.

Patrol deputies from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Central and Western Commands, along with personnel from the Investigations Division, responded to the scene. Upon arrival, deputies were able to quickly deescalate the situation and restore order.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Once completed, all relevant information will be forwarded to the Lyon County District Attorney’s Office for review and determination regarding whether any criminal charges are warranted.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. At this time, no names are being released.

Additional information will be provided as it becomes available and deemed appropriate for public release.
