Lyon County Scam Alert
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office has been made aware of a change to an old scam. Community members are receiving phone calls stating they have warrants for their arrest and receiving follow-up messages with the attached documents (See pictures).
Please remember no law enforcement agency is going to call you and demand payment for a warrant, no matter how official the documents look in the follow-up messages. Hang up immediately when you receive similar phone calls; the callers are from outside of the Country, and not attached to any legitimate law enforcement agency.
