Inaugural Bazaar for Saint Ann's in Dayton

Guest Contributor: Father Tom Nelson

My name is Father Tom Nelson and I am the Pastor at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church in Dayton, NV. Saint Ann’s was officially established on Pike Street in 1937 up until then Catholic services had been celebrated in parishioners homes or Saint Mary in Virginia City. The current building at 3 Melanie Dr. was completed in 2001. In the last three months, Saint Ann’s has grown by 4%, that’s 265 to 278 parishioners and we’ve added a Sunday Mass at 5 p.m.

Due to the increasing age of our people and the summer heat, we have dissolved our Annual Rummage Sale in September and incorporated a Bazaar on Aug 28 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Aug. 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The pancake breakfast will take place Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Lunch will be served Friday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Come join us – all are welcome!
