Groundbreaking for the New Virginia City Combined Schools Project

PRESS RELEASE – The Storey County School District (SCSD) is beginning construction on a new school building on the southern portion of the current high school property. The project integrates Hugh Gallagher Elementary School and Virginia City Middle School into a single K-8 learning facility. This combined K-8 school addresses safety concerns and creates a secure, unified educational campus serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade in Storey County.
