Frey Ranch Distillery Achieves Milestone with the Release of its 10-Year-Old Bourbon

For Immediate Release
Tuesday, June 2, 2026

FALLON, NV —Today Frey Ranch® Distillery – one of the only true farm-to-glass distilleries in the U.S. and a proud member of the University of Kentucky’s Estate Whiskey Alliance® (EWA) – unveils its oldest age statement whiskey to date with the rollout of Frey Ranch 10-Year-Old Bourbon, Batch #1. Already a recipient of a Double Platinum Medal from the prestigious 2026 ASCOT Awards, the first batch of Frey Ranch 10-Year-Old Bourbon will be available exclusively in its online whiskey shop at shop.freyranch.com for $99.00 through an online lottery, as well as in the Frey Ranch Tasting Room. Subsequent batches will be available at bars and retail locations in select markets across the country.

A milestone for any American Whiskey brand – especially a craft distillery with only 12 years of continuous whiskey production under its belt – the release of Frey Ranch 10-Year-Old Bourbon marks the oldest whiskey ever distilled and aged in the Nevada High Desert. Featuring the same mashbill as its signature Four Grain Bourbon – 66.6% non-GMO corn, 11.4% Canadian winter rye, 10% soft winter wheat, and 12% two-row malted barley – Frey Ranch 10-Year-Old Bourbon, Batch #1 is a non-chill filtered, 102-proof powerhouse whiskey that benefitted from aging in the dramatic Northern Nevada climate.

Fallon’s very cold winters in combination with the region’s 100-degree+ summers drive repeated barrel expansion and contraction, accelerating barrel maturation while imparting a taste profile as memorable as the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. The various batches of Frey Ranch 10-Year-Old Bourbon were distilled between January 2015 through April 2016 and were laid down in #4 char barrels with #3 char barrel heads. The flavor profile spotlights the four slow grown grains – corn, wheat, barley, and rye – that are exclusively grown, harvested, milled, and distilled by Whiskey Farmer Colby Frey and team on the Frey Ranch farm.

A true connoisseur’s sipping whiskey, Frey Ranch 10-Year-Old Bourbon engages the senses with powerful aromas of caramelized sugar, milk chocolate & chocolate orange candy. The palate is a sweet sensation of milk chocolate, cereal, and baking spices, while the finish tickles the throat with honey, biscotti and lingering oak notes one would expect with a 10-year-old bourbon.

“Craft distilleries producing their own genuine 10-year-old whiskeys are still a rarity in this industry, making this milestone a meaningful achievement for our entire team. But age statements aside, every bottle of Frey Ranch Whiskey begins where it always has — with the high-quality grains we grow and harvest ourselves on the farm. When our fans invest in a bottle of Frey Ranch Whiskey, they’re investing in farmers,” said Frey Ranch Co-Founder and Whiskey Farmer Colby Frey.

Using his own slow-grown grains that take Northern Nevada’s climate, topography, and terroir into account provides Colby with almost unlimited freedom to experiment with different grain varieties and blends. Valuing a common-sense approach to sustainable farming, Colby, along with Master Distiller Russell Wedlake, built a distillery born from a desire to create a distinctive, long-lasting product from the quality grains that the Frey family has been growing and perfecting for generations. The new Frey Ranch Farm Strength Uncut Rye is another prime example of Frey Ranch’s commitment to centering its whiskey enterprise around their grains and farming background first and foremost.

Given last year’s successful execution to support the rollout of Frey Ranch Harvester Series: Second Harvest, Frey Ranch will again host a lottery for the online launch of Frey Ranch 10-Year-Old Bourbon with a minimum of 500 bottles available for purchase. Managed by EQL, the lottery will kick off on Monday, June 15th at 10am PST and will run through Monday, June 22nd at midnight. Interested consumers may click on the Landing Page to be notified when the lottery is live. Winners will be announced on June 23rd. By partnering with the EQL launch platform, Frey Ranch will continue to capture demand around limited releases and strengthen its engagement with loyal customers. For local Fallon, Nevada fans, additional bottles will be available in the Frey Ranch Tasting Room starting Saturday, June 13 from 11am – 4pm PST.

The Frey family values a common-sense approach to sustainable farming, with Colby’s inspiration to build a distillery born from a desire to create a distinctive, long-lasting product from the quality grains his family has been growing and perfecting for generations. The family has long abided by the motto, “Be good to the land and the land will be good to you,” which is embossed on the bottom of each bottle of Frey Ranch Whiskey.
