Event Series Award Presented

Peter Lutz, owner of the Firehouse Saloon, was nominated by Todd Tuttle, President of the Virginia City Tourism Commission, to be a local Celebrity Judge. Peter awarded a participant, of the Virginia City Hot August Nights kick-off, the Event Series qualifying award. This award places the winner in the running for the best of the best for Hot August Nights 2025.

The winner of the award is Chris Henry of Susanville, CA, with his 1949 green Chevy, a custom-fabricated truck. Hot August Nights is elevating the competition factor to crown an annual best of the best winner as part of the HAN Event Series presented by Champion Chevrolet. The Event Series is open to any car club or promoter for local, regional, or national shows taking place now through August 9, 2025. You only need to qualify once to receive the coveted invite. Event qualifiers receive an invite to participate in the HAN Grand Finale event taking place Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada, where all the winners from various car shows throughout the year will converge with one winning vehicle crowned as the Grand Champion.
