Dust Devil pride is running high after the Dayton High School Cheer
team captured first place at the JAMZ Cheer and Dance National
Championship in Las Vegas, successfully defending their national title
from last year.

The victory marks the second national championship for the Dayton
program, a remarkable achievement that reflects the athletes’
dedication, teamwork, and countless hours of preparation.

Even more impressive, the team “hit zero” during their routine,
meaning they completed their routine without deductions or major
mistakes. At a national competition, that level of precision is a huge
achievement and shows just how strong this team truly is

Before departing for Las Vegas, the Dayton High School student body
rallied behind the team, filling the halls with signs and
encouragement as they sent the athletes off to compete.

The championship is a proud moment not only for the team but for the
entire Dayton community, as these student-athletes represented their
school and hometown with excellence on a national stage.

The community celebrates this incredible achievement and the continued
Dust Devil pride these athletes bring to Dayton High School.

Congratulations to the Dayton Cheer team on another outstanding
national championship performance!
