California Murder Suspect Arrested in Fernley, Nevada
On Aug. 24, 2026, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Special Investigations Unit assisted the Navoto Police Department with the apprehension of a Fugitive From Justice out of Marin County, California.
Detectives identified 19-year-old ANDRES RUIZ LINDO as the primary suspect in a gang-related homicide that occurred on Aug. 4, 2026, resulting in the death of a rival gang member in Marin County.
On Aug. 24, 2026, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Special Investigations Unit and Detectives with the Navoto Police Department conducted surveillance in the 1300 Block of W. Newlands Drive in Fernley, Nevada. Detectives positively identified ANDRES RUIZ LINDO as he entered a vehicle in the parking lot of
the Super 8 Motel in Fernley, Nevada. Detectives successfully conducted a high-risk felony stop on the vehicle prior to it going mobile.
ANDRES RUIZ LINDO was successfully arrested without incident. He was booked into the Lyon County Jail on:
California Penal Code 187, Felony Murder.
