Boil Water Notice Issued for Silver City, Nevada

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 16, 2026

Silver City, Nev. — A boil water notice has been issued for all residents of Silver City until further notice.

During this time, residents should boil all water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and food preparation. Bringing water to a rolling boil for at least one minute is recommended before use.

While Silver City is in Lyon County, Storey County services the water. 

The boil water notice will remain in effect while water quality testing is conducted to ensure the safety of the system. Storey County will notify residents as soon as testing is complete and the notice can be lifted.
