What's happening with school lunches at HGE & VCMS?- Thanks to a generous donation from Google, breakfast and lunch are FREE for all students at HGE and VCMS this year!
Is lunch free at VCHS?- Not at this time, but we are working on setting up Infinite Campus lunch accounts so parents can easily add funds to their students accounts.
What are the start and release times for school?- VCMS & VCHS: Start at 7:55 AM | Release at 2:43 PM- HGE & HSE: Breakfast at 9:15 AM | School starts at 9:30 AM | Release at 3:30 PM- All schools: Release 1 hour early every Friday.

How do I sign up for the bus & find route times?- No registration is needed! Just show up, and we'll add your student to the roster. Bus times are posted on our website.
Is HGE still doing one-way drop-off & pick-up?- Yes! We're continuing the one-way entrance system. Please see picture below.
How do I know if my student is registered?- Returning students: Complete annual registration in your Parent Portal. - New students: All forms must be submitted by Friday, August 15 for your child to attend the first day of school.
Who can pick up my child?- Only individuals listed on your student's demographics page may pick them up. A photo ID is required. If adding a new person, please allow 24-48 hours for the update to take effect. You can add new person pickups on your parent portal under demographics.
Where are the school supply lists?- HGE & HSE: Supplies are provided by the school this year!- VCMS: View list on the website https://vcms.storeynv.com/supply-list- VCHS: Teachers will share supply needs during the first week of school. The Northern Nevada Dream Center will be hosting Back to School Bash 2025 at Mills Park in Carson City this Friday, August 15th! There will be fire trucks, treats, games and much more!
